The heart doesn’t understand
the logic of the mind
it accepts those terms when the time has come
but never before, not until then
it is willing to wait, patiently and faithfully
it whispers a prayer, a silent longing
the heart doesn’t understand
the meaning of the word impossible
it only knows that in time, anything can happen.
